Please join us to celebrate renowned photographer Ed Kashi’s donation of his photographic archive to the Briscoe Center. In conjunction with his collection, the Briscoe Center has published Kashi’s newest book, A Period in Time: Looking Back while Moving Forward: 1977–2022. Books will be available for sale at the event.
As one of the world's most celebrated photojournalists, Kashi has dedicated the past 45 years to documenting the social and geopolitical issues that define our era. The Kashi collection, circa 1977-2023, comprises roughly 90 linear feet of analog material and extensive digital content. The materials range from publications (books, magazines, and tearsheets) to prints and negatives of his work in various sizes and formats. The archive also contains extensive digital and audiovisual material as well as business records, correspondence, and personal journals through which he has documented his career.
