Jon Lowenstein, a wonderful guy and great photographer, collaborated with Julie to shoot the stills for this piece. It's the first time another photographer has worked with Julie, as I was in Syria when they had to do the field work on this story. It was an assignment from AARP about a man in Detroit who built a basketball court in his yard to give the local youth a safe and fun place to hang out. Check it out.
