Ed & Julie Lecture to ASPP in NYC

On Wednesday, January 30, 2008, the American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP) New York Chapter will present

ED KASHI AND JULIE WINOKUR - BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN STILL AND MOVING IMAGES

Over the years, Ed Kashi and Julie Winokur have worked together on books, exhibitions and photography assignments which have taken them around the world. Their work together has also moved beyond the still image -- into video and other new interactive media. Their discussions will center around new media and the opportunities it creates for telling stories visually, as well as the implications of our brave new media landscape for the photo industry.

Multimedium Storytelling: From Stills to Multimedia in the Digital Age
Over the past decade Ed Kashi and Julie Winokur have collaborated on numerous projects that move beyond still images to result in award winning cross-platform media. This seminar would share their inspiring stories and extensive experience in developing photo driven projects across different media. This special, three weekend seminar is designed to move the students' projects from inception to completion, learning audio and video gathering techniques in the field and Final Cut Pro for post-production.
