Collateral Damage on You Tube

Julie Winokur, my wife and collaborator, has just finished her new documentary short, called Collateral Damage. It has just been posted on You Tube. It's a 23 minute film about the gutting of TennCare, a medicaid program in the state of Tennessee which covered more than 400,000 citizens of that state. Please take the time to watch it and let us know what you think.

A Progressive Approach To Caregiving in America

Please take a look at a new multimedia project I worked on for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation last summer. It was created from a series of five stories I photographed and captured audio for, about this progressive approach to caring for our elders. The programs have different titles, but they go under the heading of Cash and Counseling. Basically, it allows disabled and elderly people to receive funding to pay their family members or people they trust in their communities to care for them. It's innovative and a promising solution to our burgeoning personal caregiving needs in America.
